In Japanese, "wabi-sabi" means "the beauty in imperfection." This pair of tea bowls was made to embody the wabi sabi concept. Stoneware glazed in Koryo with SJ Black and Coleman's Red dripped on top. Unavailable.
Wabi-Sabi tea bowls
These tea bowls were Raku-fired, a technique that involves removing the pottery from the kiln while the glaze is still molten and placing the pieces in combustion chambers, and produces fantastic color variations. Stoneware, Hawaiian Blue Raku. $150/set of 3.
